It’s an impressive week for GamersGate. While Week 3 of the SummerSale didn’t carry much indie weight, Week 4 is “We ? Indie” week, and a veritable treasure trove! Steam also has a couple of indie sales this week, after the awesome Plain Sight deal we tweeted about earlier in the week, which is now over. (more...)

This week–no, this month–we’re restless and ready to get the ball rolling on all these awesome things we keep teasing you about. But as the saying goes, with great awesome comes great responsibility (..that’s totally how the saying goes), and while we’ve got the former in the bag, the latter likes to bite us in the butt every now and then. Fortunately for you, there are some pretty spectacular deals this week, including one in everyone’s favorite price range of “free” that we did not expect to see. (more...)
While we work out the remaining kinks in this decidedly meaty (and increasingly late..) episode of 2 Girls 1 Game, neither one of us wishes to leave you high and dry, nor alone in the dark. We’ve discussed a variety of solutions as to how we can keep in touch with you the listeners, in between episodes and on a weekly basis. Let’s face facts here; there is so much content to cover! I’ve played many adventure games in my day, and while I haven’t played close to all of what’s out there, I’ve been around the block. That being said, there are very few adventure games that warrant a replay after completion. Let’s face it; you just can’t get the same effect from a subsequent replay. Fortunately, titles like Brawsome’sJolly Rover really help to sweeten the pot. (more...)
With E3 over now the two girls take a look at some of their favorite titles revealed in the big announcements, both indie and otherwise. The adventure game giveaway announced in last week’s episode comes to an end with more discussion about a few new adventure titles that have been released this week, including the new Jolly Rover adventure game by Andrew Goulding that was chosen as our One Game Pick. In addition we have another giveaway, so tune in to find out how you could win!
I’m a sucker for platformer games. I’m also a sucker for puzzle games. So what happens when the two genres come together and make a big fat baby that cries and demands my attention at all hours of the morning, leaving me with only two hours of sleep and a hellacious cranky attitude in the morning? P.B. Winterbottom, I suppose. (more...)

Sure, we’ve been gone a few months, but that doesn’t mean we’re not back with a bang! After redesigning the site and getting our fifth episode up for all of you lovely people, both Overlord Ror & Mahkia joined Mike Schramm and The Turpster on The Incredible Podcast of Amazing Awesomeness to discuss a few great indie games we’ve told you about before, in addition to some of the more mainstream games the girls have been playing, including Red Dead Redemption and eventually, Alan Wake.
You can head on over to the TIPOAA site and give episode 17 a listen if you’d like to hear more, and if podcasts are your thing, then definitely add TIPOAA to your list, because those guys are freakin’ awesome. (more...)
